Kyle Abell, Electrical Foreman
Kyle joined Lighthouse Electrical in 2015 and has recently headed project crews at an MIT music room fit-out project and at a Westwood public school. He currently is handling tenant fit-out projects at Drydock in Boston. Kyle has both his MA Journeyman and Master Electrician licenses. In his spare time, he enjoys playing both hockey and golf.

Herbert Aikens, President
As the Principal and President of Lighthouse Electrical Contracting, Inc., Herb Aikens is involved in all aspects of the business, from new business development to project management. Herb founded Lighthouse in 2001 at the age of 20, and since that time he has spearheaded Lighthouse’s growth, as the firm became a leader in renewable energy, commercial and healthcare industry projects throughout Greater Boston and eastern Massachusetts. Herb considers renewable technologies, and solar in particular, to be “the future of the industry.” Since its incorporation in 2002, Lighthouse Electrical has handled thousands of electrical construction projects, over 200 photovoltaic system installations and 15 wind energy projects. Herb maintains his Journeyman Electrician license through I.B.E.W. Local 103.

Scott Bennett, Electrical Foreman
Scott’s experience as an electrician working on diverse projects has made him a great asset to Lighthouse Electrical. He began working in the field in 1992 and his strong organizational skills and attention to detail has resulted in his effective management of some of Lighthouse’s most demanding, tightly budgeted and aggressively scheduled projects. With practical experience in all aspects of the business Scott is able to apply his skills to Lighthouse’s solar installations, as well running many of our largest electrical projects. Scott received his Journeyman status from I.B.E.W. Local 103 and holds a Master Electrician license in the states of Massachusetts and New Hampshire as well as a Hoisting Engineer license in Massachusetts.

Brian Brooks, Tel/Data Foreman
Brian has been an IBEW Local 103 certified tel/data technician since 1997. He heads Lighthouse Electrical’s project field crews on dynamic tel/data projects for commercial, healthcare and corporate fit-outs throughout Greater Boston. Prior to joining Lighthouse in 2014, he served as a foreman prominent general contractor in the Boston area. A U.S. Army veteran, Brian dedicated three years to serving our country. He enjoys playing sports with his children.

Dave heads Lighthouse Electrical’s project field crews on various electrical projects in Greater Boston, specializing in fire alarm system installations. He earned his MA Journeyman Electrician license through IBEW Local 103 and the Greater Boston JATC training program in 2008. A devoted father, Dave enjoys spending time with his daughter.

Carl has extensive experience working as an electrical foreman and electrician on diverse electrical projects, specializing in retail fit-out projects. He consistently meets aggressive project deadlines with meticulous attention to detail. Currently, he is working on Lighthouse Electrical’s fit-out of the America’s Test Kitchen project in the Boston Seaport.

Kenny Grant, Project Manager
Kenny brings a wealth of knowledge to Lighthouse Electrical. He has a proven track record of success and has run some of the larger, more complicated projects that the company has completed. Kenny began working in the electrical field in 1999, and has experience on projects that range from large retail stores to tenant fit-up projects. His experience enables him to adapt to ever-changing project requirements and he is adept at keeping projects on track. Kenny received his Journeyman license from I.B.E.W. Local 103.

Patrick recently worked on Lighthouse Electrical’s comprehensive fit-out of the Old Navy 30,000 sq. ft. Northeast flagship store at Millennium Tower in Boston’s Downtown Crossing. He holds his MA Journeyman Electrician license, earned through IBEW Local 103 and the Greater Boston JATC. Patrick has strong organizational skills and is dedicated to meeting complex electrical installation requirements and aggressive project schedules.

David has worked in the Greater Boston electrical construction industry since 1984, having earned his Journeyman and Master Electrician license from I.B.E.W. Local 80 in Virginia. His 34 plus years of knowledge and experience in electrical contracting has enabled him to successfully execute his responsibilities at Lighthouse Electrical in complex, rapidly developing project environments. Through his extensive professional background in electrical construction, David provides invaluable insight into design, layout, and the planning of schedules, especially on time and price-sensitive projects.

Ed joined Lighthouse Electrical as an Electrical Foreman in 2012. He recently completed work on Lighthouse Electrical’s Harvard School of Public Health electrical project on Huntington Avenue in Boston. He has a MA Journeyman Electrician, earned through IBEW Local 103 and the Greater Boston JATC in 1995, and has experience in electrical projects in diverse markets.

Ron Lapido, Tel/Data Project Manager
Ron has 21 years of experience in the telecommunication industry in the New England region that he brings to Lighthouse’s Tel/Data division. He has a diverse background in the field, both as a technician and foreman, as well as being instrumental in the growth of one of the largest Tel/Data divisions in the Boston area. He has also been the New England sales manager for a major national hardware manufacturer. At Lighthouse, Ron is responsible for the development and management of all Tel/Data projects. He received his technician status from I.B.E.W Local 103.

Tony Turecki, Fire Alarm Project Manager

Tony has been working in the electrical industry since 1999, and his understanding of technical projects has proven to be a great asset to the company. Since joining Lighthouse in 2010, he has run many tenant fit-up, fire alarm upgrade and solar projects. He has worked on projects for one of the largest retailers in the country, as well as for biotech and large corporate clients throughout the Boston area. Tony is able to bring projects that are time-sensitive to completion on time and on budget while working through the most demanding conditions. He received his Journeyman status from I.B.E.W. Local 103 and holds a Master Electrician license and Hoisting Engineer license in the State of Massachusetts.

Russ joined Lighthouse Electrical with 20 years of electrical experience as a Journeyman, Foreman, and General Foreman. He has run many successful large projects in and around Boston and Cambridge. Russ brings a vast knowledge in healthcare, lighting control, power distribution, as well as many other complex electrical systems to the team. He received his Massachusetts Journeyman license through the I.B.E.W and is a 2007 graduate of the JATC of Greater Boston. Russ loves spending time with his family and watching his children’s sporting events.

He earned his MA Journeyman electrician license in 2004. In his spare time, Michael enjoys golf and fishing.

A dedicated father, Tom enjoys spending time and playing with his three children.

Chad joined the Lighthouse team in 2004 and brings many years of diverse experience to the company since he began his career in Local 103 in 1989. He has the skills, knowledge, and ability to effectively run any project. He has worked on tenant fit-up projects of all sizes in Boston and the surrounding area. Chad’s success as a foreman can be attributed to his planning and leadership skills, as well as his consistently positive attitude during the day-to-day operations of the job. He received his Journeyman status from I.B.E.W. Local 103 and holds a Master Electrican license in the State of Massachusetts.
